SAHIC Year Special Recognition Awards 2009. Hosted by HVS & Brazilian Ministry of Tourism.
The first SAHIC Year Awards–2009 have been instituted to acknowledge outstanding contributions to the Hospitality Industry in the South American Region. On this occasion, the award categories will be as follows:
• New hotel or mixed-use hotel development: To the undertaking whose concept, design, and development complies with and keeps high quality and creativity features that make it an emblematic project or building. WINNER: Francisco Rencoret
• Hotelier or Personality: To the Executive and/or CEO whose work in the region excels in terms of experience, background, and outstanding contribution to the development of the hospitality industry. WINNER: Roland de Bonadona
• Developer: To the Businessman, Developer, or Investment Group that year after year continues to bet on new challenges in the region, either in connection with the development of new investments or the recovery, improvement or upgrade of major existing projects. WINNER: David Sutton
