Latin America and the Caribbean are experiencing a strong movement to promote their destination

by Arturo Garcia Rosa - President & CEO, SAHIC Group

The development of tourism and hospitality is driven by the promotion of destinations by public entities and, as we can see, there is strong movement in this direction and examples have been seen throughout the region.

Peru, Ecuador, Mexico and Brazil are leading efforts to promote their tourist destinations and attract new investors. More recently, an agreement signed between UN Tourism and CAF –Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean – will promote the brand of the region.

The development of tourism and hospitality depends on the perception and desire of people. Therefore, in addition to money, it is important to strongly promote the attributes of each destination so that investors are aware that new people want to go there.

The growth of tourism in the region depends on a union of forces that together give Latin America and the Caribbean greater visibility in the world. And more positive visibility means attracting new interest and investment.

SAHIC is the ideal forum to bring together projects, investors, and governments to explore how they connect to drive sustainable growth in the years ahead. If you haven’t secured your spot yet, hurry and join us at the event in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

See you on March 24th!
