Latin America and Caribbean: an attractive destination for investors, according to CBRE research

by Arturo Garcia Rosa - President & CEO, SAHIC Group

The news for Latin America hospitality is getting better and better. Investors are interested in the region, as shown in recent global research carried out by CBRE, a commercial real estate service business.

The research pointed out that over 50% of the investors plan to expand their investments in the hospitality sector this year. And they aim at destinations that offer touristic attractions and economic growth potential.

Another important point is that about 64% of the investors consider luxury hotels the most appealing to invest in, while resorts continue to be the most profitable, according to 90% of attendees. The document also reveals that there is high demand from investors and a shortage of available assets.

Considering all this, there is a green light for all the players involved in the hotel industry: creating projects aligned with the expectations of the new traveler is important, along with a watchful eye on the governments’ part to develop increasingly attractive tourist destinations.
