Jeanette Bonet
Recognized for her wide-ranging expertise and accomplishment in the private arena, Mrs. Bonet has given over twenty-five years of leadership service to Curacao’s Hospitality, Tourism, and Investment sectors. Mrs. Bonet was the 1st female General Manager of a large resort appointed by an International Chain Hotel. During her career, Mrs. Bonet served as President of the Supervisory boards of the Curaçao Tourism Development Foundation (CTDF) and the Curaçao Hospitality & Tourism Association (CHATA). Was a board member of the Curaçao Business Association (VBC) and till recently served 9 years as an elected board member of the Curaçao Chamber of Commerce (KvK). Mrs. Bonet is a member of the Curaçao International Financial Center (CIFC), a board member of the Downtown Management Organization (DMO), and a board member of the Small Medium Business Association (ADECK).
Mrs. Bonet was co-founder of the Curaçao Hospitality and Training Foundation and participated actively in the Tourism Executive Marketing committee, the Airlift committee, the National Labor Enforcement plan committee, and the Curaçao National Dialog Platform, to mention some.
Mrs. Bonet was the recipient of the Stichting Vrouwennetwerk Curaçao Award, a prestige award presented to the management of a business or authority where the vision and approach are to create a working environment where particularly the feminine co-workers get the needed space to develop a career to its fullest potential and be a role model for the Curaçao society.
Mrs. Bonet is passionate about Long-Life learning and education development in general. In 2012 Mrs. Bonet obtained her Master’s Certification in Hospitality Management from Cornell University and now she is pursuing her MBA. With the young professionals’ development being a pre for our community, Mrs. Bonet sits on the Professional Advisory Boards of the University of Curaçao (UoC) for the two programs, International Hospitality & Tourism Management (IHTM) and Business & Management Studies (BMS).
Mrs. Bonet is a member of Rotary and a Paul Harris fellow.
