Jose Quiñones Galvez - New Business Leader, Andean Region - Manufacturing, Tourism, Retail and Property - IFC
Jose leads the business development efforts related to Manufacturing, Tourism, Retail and Property in the Andean Region for the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the largest global development institution focused on the private sector in emerging markets, a member of the World Bank Group, a multilateral development bank committed to reducing poverty, increasing shared prosperity, and promoting sustainable development.
Before joining IFC, he was an Investment Officer at IDB Invest, the private sector arm of the Inter-American Development Bank Group, where he was responsible for the origination and execution of debt, mezzanine, and equity deals in the Manufacturing Group. He also served as a Portfolio Officer overseeing the implementation and execution of Corporate and Infrastructure projects in different countries across Latin America. Early on, Jose worked for 6 years at Banco de Credito del Peru (BCP).
He holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Private Equity from the University of Pennsylvania´s The Wharton School, an MBA from Duke University, and a Bachelor´s degree in Economics from The University of Lima, Peru.
