Martín Arauz
A native of Argentina, Martin was General Counsel for Latin America and the Caribbean at Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, Inc. since 2006 until Starwood’s acquisition by Marriott in 2016.
In 2015 and 2016, Martin co-led all in country negotiations resulting in Starwood being the first US based hospitality company to enter Cuba after 60 years.
Based in Miami, fluent in Spanish, English, and Portuguese, Martin advises brands and owners worldwide in all aspects of the hotel cycle, including new development, conversions and acquisitions/dispositions.
